Growing a Business and Improving Life

I frequently say, "I haven't figured out what I want to do yet." Which I think is ok, but people usually look at me a little strangely because I already have a successful business. I often reflect on why I'm seeking more. By more, I mean starting out as a trainer, getting my masters in physical therapy, then the doctorate, then holistic nutrition, and now I'm looking at wellness coaching. When does it stop and I settle down?
Partly I think it's seeing my own limitations and wanting to improve on those. Seeing patients and not being able to help makes me want to keep striving forward to always find a solution. (I really hate letting people down.) Partly, I just like the adventure of always taking on new challenges.
Is it ok to keep wanting more out of life? I sure hope that answer is yes... especially if it's in the name of personal growth. Onward and upward I go to the land of new adventures. Wish me luck and hopefully you will join me along the way!

Yoga for the Mind

My new quest is to practice yoga every week day for the next 30 days. Consider it my personal 30 day challenge. I've always struggled with wanting to spend time practicing yoga, but my love of meditation has finally brought me full circle.
I've recently joined my yoga online, where I get to view hundreds of yoga videos. It's wonderful for finding something fresh and inspiring each day. Last night I forced myself (which sometimes is what you have to do in life) to do a quick 30min yoga session by the beach that included meditation. Well, I was not by the beach but the girl on the screen was, and it was wonderful. Well worth the forcing. My mental attitude and state of relaxation made a 180 degree change between the start and end of the yoga/ meditation session.
So, I'm out there to encourage all of you who are having trouble "forcing" yourselves to get on a healthy program, do it today! It's worth it on so many levels.

I'm in love with a giraffe!

Off I fly to the healthy state, where they label the coffee syrup as organic and the coffee mug isle has a warning that says ceramics may cause cancer. This amazed me because who would actually buy the coffee mug when it says right in front "known to cause cancer." But then again people smoke right? Alas, I confess, I really wanted to buy the cup, if you could have seen the cute panda painted on the front you would have too. But, like most of my decisions, reason and logic USUALLY win out over emotion. But, when you are visiting the zoo and are surrounded by cute animal faces decisions can be hazy.
Now, on to my pet giraffe from the San Diego Wild Animal Park. Two words: so cute! I don't think of myself as a giggly person but this baby giraffe just brought out the best in me. So, until I get a bigger yard or open a private zoo (not sure I want to be that weird) a picture will have to do!
